With the high degree of specialization we have matured over the years and our latest-generation systems, Mineral IM.ES.CO. has established itself among the largest talc producers in Italy.

Our services are dedicated in particular to the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries for the production of medicated powders, pills, make-up and natural talc for the body; the chemicals, plastics, and paint industries; and the food industry, where pure talc serves as a coadjuvant for food dyes and an anti-caking agent in freeze-dried products, condiments, cheese, rice, and salt.

Plastics and paints

We produce talc with a low iron content and a high whiteness for very pure plastic materials.

Standard grinding and/or micronization with limits up to 10 microns maintain the physical characteristics and layered structure of this family of products.

This talc is indicated for all applications where purity, quality consistency, and high luminosity are required.

Cosmetics and pharmaceuticals

The pharmaceutical talc we produce at Mineral IM.ES.CO. has a high purity and controlled bacterial concentration of less than 10 cfu/g (medium), which is used as an auxiliary agent in mixing medicinal powders. It works mainly as a disinfectant, astringent, anti-itch, or refreshing agent. It can also be used as a lubricant when forming the pills and to manufacture the common natural talcum powders on the market in Italy.

Our ES-D talc respects the standards dictated by official pharmacopoeias.

Industrial applications

Our talc for industrial use has a standard 45 micron particle size and a purely layered structure.

Its excellent quality-price ratio (among the most competitive in Italy) makes it particularly suitable for sectors where the typical performance of the material is required but without a particularly high whiteness.

Mixed loads

This family of fillers is composed of hydrated magnesium and calcium silicates.

Its low oil absorption, micronization, and mixed structure, together with the low cost and high whiteness, make it perfect for applications where whiteness is an essential element.
